Sparklers DT: Hello Spring ATCs

Busy week and after the splendid experience in collaboration with Jen (I love her cut and printable file),  here I am with a new project, the last for this month.

I made four ATC in which I still used Floral cut file by Jen.
I painted the canvas  with black gesso: the next step was to create an iridescent accent with Shimmerz paint, Tutti Frutti and Sea U in the morning, using a stencil.

Then I used  portions of the floral cut file that I placed on each mini card, I added the simple colored thread, a few pieces of different patterned papers. This has created the basis to place the four butterflies, one on each ATC. Butterflies, different from each other, are printed with black archival ink on  watercolor paper and then painted with watercolors. I then added small portions of gold doily, beautiful  Gold Sweethearts Confetti sequins and Gold Sturdust sequins.

I splatter various colors, black white pink turquoise and gold, and as a final touch, I wrap randomly each butterfly with white thread and insert the stamped title by adding a little thick at the base.

Sparklers DT: Losing @ the horizon layout

Last post this month, which is almost finished, on SpiegelMomscraps blog and I wanted to celebrate the sea.
As I have always enjoyed creating the composition with a series of levels with different patterned paper and other embellishments such as white doilysoft white feathers feltieslittle cork hearts, a kind of banner made with a wire and related sequins in an irregular manner to create a soft frame around the picture, I finally used the shimmerz paints very diluted and splashed around the composition.

Today it's thursday and it's my day @SpiegelMomscraps blog.
I found a new small passion and it's  for ATCs. Classic cards have always made me a kind of creative emptiness, but  it does not happen with the ATCs, not at all! I'm really enjoying it and this week I made two on the theme "Take a picture".
I still used white canvas on which I spread a layer of clear medium gel.The first layer I did is a stenciled one: i use a bright Shimmers paint, Dreamscicle; I continued with some watercolor paint. When  dried I use several stamps and washi tape.

On each of the ATCs I created a focal point using various levels of patterned paper, I added  some twineand on the top two wooden cameras from Studio Calico. I also added some sequins from Jack O Lantern mix ( perfect for Hallowen, but it fits perfectly with my color combo!). Finally the little titles: I stamped two different labels on the same patterned paper and then, on each, I attached "smile" and "say cheese" made with Dymo. ... I wrappedevery label  with the colored thread, I added below the thickness and I have applied on each card.

Have fun and let me know what you'll create.

Sparklers DT: Here I am

For this layout I used a beautiful patterned paper: I used for background Dazzlerz Licorice stick with a stencil and I did some circle with Sea U in the morning  to give a textured and sparkling touch , thanks to the texture of these gorgeous colors. The next step was to create a base for the photo: an articulated level game with patterned paper, and other items such as: the glassine bags (in one of the two I put some sequins from Mint Chip mix, the same ones that I used also in the background), a white tag, a white doily, cotton yarn, cork hearts and a small wooden camera. Finally I added the photos I slightly thickened. I completed it all by adding splashes of various colors (white, black, gold and teal zircon).

Sparklers DT: Shine card

This week as Sparklers DT I thought of making a card (which is not really my forte).

I made it with canvas treated with white gesso; once dry, I used watercolors to create a first color level. I continued using stencils and  Shimmerz paint :colors are beautiful, bright and sparkling like a silk satin fabric. To completely dry the color I shortened the time by using heat gun. Then I started to build the card by assembling all the elements: first, I took a white doily depriving him of the inner circle and thereby creating a frame to the large black felt star surrounded by wire, also black, simulating a doodle done in pen .I added other elements such as the adhesive strip made with dymo where the word "star" is repeated many times; the star shape, made with a punch, which is repeated irregularly and I then cut out leaving a margin of a few mm; the word "shine" stamped.
Finally I added, to give further touches of light, beautiful sequins from Magical Ocean: a bright pink and a deep and iridescent blue, and two sizes of silver bells. Finally the black splashes and liquid pearl....
