Sparklers DT: Star tags

I made a set of three mini shipping tags.

I colored with black gesso the tag, once dry I used Shimmerz paste through a stencil. With a punch in a star shape I cut a piece of square  pattern paper to which I added a little thick: inside the star-shaped hole I "designed" with glue a star making to join the tiny gold sequins. To accentuate this sparkling point I created a circular shape with the twine wrapping it several times. Then I added the title, some other tiny gold sequins and beautiful silvery starlets.

These tags are very simple and very easy to make but very bright for sure.

Sparklers DT: Grateful card

This week I wanted to make a spring card to thank a friend.

The base is formed by two superimposed rectangles of patterned paper; I superimposed on this surface a series of elements, adding the thickness also, to create greater dynamism. I used a white shipping taga white doily, other pieces of patterned papers, the simple colored thread of cotton and white cord wrapped a few times to form a circle and stuck with the stapler. At the center stands a beautiful butterfly die cut. I inserted here and there some hearts cork (Chunky hearts and Forever love hearts) and a cascade of sequins from the Mint Chip Mix that with its colors fit perfectly to the color scheme used on the card. Finally, as usual, the turquoise and gold splashes.

Sparklers DT: my source of energy

Today is my day, in the true sense of the word. Today is my birthday and I wanted to celebrate what has always accompanied my life: my love for painting and what I always carry with me: a travel set of watercolors and a few brush.

The central composition is created by a series of layers : white doilyshipping tagsglassine bags, patterned paper, some twine); the base is a patterned paper on which I used modeling paste and a stencil diamond pattern and a couple of stamps, washi tape and some die cut. Finally some embellishments: two wonderful sequin mix ( Sunny smiles and Glass slippers), Studio Calico Hearts and Arrows .

Sparklers DT: Hello Spring ATCs

Busy week and after the splendid experience in collaboration with Jen (I love her cut and printable file),  here I am with a new project, the last for this month.

I made four ATC in which I still used Floral cut file by Jen.
I painted the canvas  with black gesso: the next step was to create an iridescent accent with Shimmerz paint, Tutti Frutti and Sea U in the morning, using a stencil.

Then I used  portions of the floral cut file that I placed on each mini card, I added the simple colored thread, a few pieces of different patterned papers. This has created the basis to place the four butterflies, one on each ATC. Butterflies, different from each other, are printed with black archival ink on  watercolor paper and then painted with watercolors. I then added small portions of gold doily, beautiful  Gold Sweethearts Confetti sequins and Gold Sturdust sequins.

I splatter various colors, black white pink turquoise and gold, and as a final touch, I wrap randomly each butterfly with white thread and insert the stamped title by adding a little thick at the base.

Sparklers DT: Losing @ the horizon layout

Last post this month, which is almost finished, on SpiegelMomscraps blog and I wanted to celebrate the sea.
As I have always enjoyed creating the composition with a series of levels with different patterned paper and other embellishments such as white doilysoft white feathers feltieslittle cork hearts, a kind of banner made with a wire and related sequins in an irregular manner to create a soft frame around the picture, I finally used the shimmerz paints very diluted and splashed around the composition.

Today it's thursday and it's my day @SpiegelMomscraps blog.
I found a new small passion and it's  for ATCs. Classic cards have always made me a kind of creative emptiness, but  it does not happen with the ATCs, not at all! I'm really enjoying it and this week I made two on the theme "Take a picture".
I still used white canvas on which I spread a layer of clear medium gel.The first layer I did is a stenciled one: i use a bright Shimmers paint, Dreamscicle; I continued with some watercolor paint. When  dried I use several stamps and washi tape.

On each of the ATCs I created a focal point using various levels of patterned paper, I added  some twineand on the top two wooden cameras from Studio Calico. I also added some sequins from Jack O Lantern mix ( perfect for Hallowen, but it fits perfectly with my color combo!). Finally the little titles: I stamped two different labels on the same patterned paper and then, on each, I attached "smile" and "say cheese" made with Dymo. ... I wrappedevery label  with the colored thread, I added below the thickness and I have applied on each card.

Have fun and let me know what you'll create.

xoxo
