So awesome!  If you’re just joining me here on my blog, be sure to check out the line up and all the other goodies over at the SpiegelMom Scraps blog here .

My project for this special event is a mini canvas mixed media.

I painted the white canvas with acrylic colors, black and blue, then I used two different Shimmerz paint, Sea U in the morning and Dreamscicle, with two different stencils. I splashed on white paint and three different LuminArte Primary Element. Almost simulating color sketches I used three different mix of sequins (Lilac Twinkle, Believe in You and A Day in the Woods), distributing here and there with a fake randomness. I really like mixing paint and sequins because I can give more three-dimensional and brightness to the project.
I then blended lace, some chipboard from 7Dots Studio, an handmade flair that I paint with Primary Elements and two adorable mini clothespins.

For today's blog hop you should have arrived here from Sarah. She  created as always a beautiful and creative project, I recommend you not miss to visit her blog.  For today's project  I created a card from the summer, inspired by the beautiful mix of sequins Marmeid's Tale (blue, lilac, green and tiny silver stars).
For the background I used watercolors in the colors of sequins, and on it a number of levels with pattened paper and cotton lace. The icing on the cake was to enrich the card with sequins making guided by splashes of color.

Sparklers DT: Album/Journal cover

The project for today blog post on Spiegelmomscrap blog it’s the cover of an album / journal on which I am working. The cover is completely handmade made with recovery cardboard  and cotton fabric. Once I built the cover I painted, printed and embellished it with stencils and different Shimmerz  colors. The result is very colorful and sparkling, thanks to the sequins that I put here and there to give light points. To complete the cover instead I used embellishments (doily, shipping tags, mini Clothspins, die cut) from the neutral color, so the cover did not appear too heavy. I have a lot of fun doing it.

Sparklers DT: Star tags

I made a set of three mini shipping tags.

I colored with black gesso the tag, once dry I used Shimmerz paste through a stencil. With a punch in a star shape I cut a piece of square  pattern paper to which I added a little thick: inside the star-shaped hole I "designed" with glue a star making to join the tiny gold sequins. To accentuate this sparkling point I created a circular shape with the twine wrapping it several times. Then I added the title, some other tiny gold sequins and beautiful silvery starlets.

These tags are very simple and very easy to make but very bright for sure.
